DECISION OF THE DIRECTORS. Bx TelEffraDn—Press Auoolitioo. Auckland, September 17, Mr. Holgate, managing director of the Northern Coal Company, was asked this morning how long it was proposed to keep the Kiripaka mino idle. He replied: "It .is quite impossible to say at present, but the directors have decided hot, to reopen the mine again until the whole labour trouble is settled. Meauwhilo wo are endeavouring to obtain freights for our boats, to prevent them lying idle." Including miners, staft, and officers, and crew of tho boats, about one hundred men are affected by the cessation of operations at this mine.
