TRIBUTE TO THE NAVY AND NAVAL WORKERS
MESSAGE BY ME, LLOYD GEOEGE. (Rec, September 15, 5.5 p.m.) London, September 13. Mr. Lloyd George has written to the First Lord of the Admiralty, paying a tribute to tho great part played in the victory by the officers and men ofvtho Navy, and also by the civilians employed in tho various centres in connection with naval activity. Mr. Lloyd George says: "It must, go to their hearts to see the splendid creations of their hard ondeavours scrapped, but the Government is driven to economise ruthlessly in overy direction." He reminds loyal men and'women that dispensing with their services does not imply want of gratitude on the part of the Empire for what they have . accomplished.—Aus.-N.is. Üblo Assu.
