ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. "Subscriber."—Tho aeroplnn.es recently tested at Sockbtirn were sent to New Zealand by tho Imperial Government without charge. The Air Adviser and his assistant, who have been flying the machine?, are paid by the New Zealand Government. The Air Adviser (Colonel Bettington) was brought to Now Zealand to prepare a report regarding aviation matters, and he is shortly returning to England. The running expenses are paid by tho Defence Department.
