One mile.Bright Night, 1; Golden Bubble, 2; Monarnia, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmiu. lOJsec. TRAMWAY HANDICAP. Seven furlongs.—Wolaroi, 1; Greenstead Laddie, 2; Blue, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin. 25! sec.—an Australasian record. CHELMSFORD STAKES. Nino furlongs; w.i'.a.—Richmond Main, 1; Elfacre, 2; Cetigne, 3. AVon by a length. Time, lmiu. 52Ssec. SPUING HANDICAP. Ten furlongs. -Prince Viridis, 1; Kenilford, 2; I'oitrcl, 3. Won by a leugth and a half. Time, 2miu. ssoc. Extraordinary interest was manifested in the raccs owing to the presence of a formidable team of New Zealand horsks, and in consequence of the recent sensational gallops, mostly made by the favourites Surveyor and Biplano, who were unplaced t in. the Tramway Handicap. Sasanof, Spanner, and Rossini were unplaced in the Chelmsford Stakes. Arch Marella and Afterglow van disappointingly in the Spring Handicnp, and Tauimha was unplaced in the Welter.—Press Assn.
