HARRIERS
CEOJ3S-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP. The Wellington provincial cross-couu-try championship of five miles for the White and M'Kay Shield was run at Miramar on Saturday. Five teams coinneted—Brooklyn "Harriers A and B teams, Olympic Harriers, anil Scottish Harriers. f The teams race resulted as follows Brooklyn A team (D. Todd, J, Douglas, N. Mooch, and D. Robinson), 1; Olympic Harriers, 2 j Sealed •Handicap.-W. Coop (Brooklyn Harriers) and 11. Jackman (Scottish Harriers), dead heal. Mr. Marriott presented the shield and prizes as follow :—Gold medal (championship): A. Wilson (Olympic), lj W. Scratchnrd (Olympic), 2; Dod (Brooklyii), 3; ,T. Douglas (Brooklyn), 4; N. Meech (Brooklyn), 5; H. Robinson (Brooklyn), 0. The officials for the meeting wore Councillor Shorland, starter; Messrs. A. Marriott and W. H. Philps, judges; Messrs. B. Waller and C. A. Wilson, time-keepers; Messrs. F. Hodson and Mr. C. Cummiugs, course stewards; Mr. A. Kitto, secretary.'
