BOSTON POLICE STRIKE
DEMAND FOR RIGHT TO JOIN TRADES UNIONS. . (Eec. September 14, 5.5 p.m.) New York, September 13. The New York "Times" Boston correspondent states that the Policemen's Union has vetoed a proposal to -return to work, pending a, decision between tho Labour leaders and President Wilson regarding the right of tho police to affiliate with the American Federation of Labour. The Police Commissioner, has issued a proclamation stating that no policeman on strike will be allowed to return to duty. The military authorities continue to preservo order.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn, THE FATAL RIOTS. (Ree. September 14, 5.5 p.m.) i New York, September 12. Five persons are dead and two. are dying as the result of tho Boston riots in connection with the'police strike.
