FIRE AT LOWER HUTT

The Lower Hutt Fire Brigade received a call at 4 a.m. on Saturday to an outbreak of firo in a brick building in Main Road, Lower Hutt. The building was owned by Mr. S. S. Mason, and was used by Mr.'6. L. Peek as a motor garage and workshop. . Tho building wa3 completely gutted, and a motor-car, owned by Mr. Peek, was destroyed. Tho origin of the fire is unknown. The biiilding was insured with- the. New Zealand Insurance Company for '.£350. The car was cdvered by a policy for ,£3OO with the London, Liverpool and Globa Office. .
