MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIP TO-DAY. Tho first annual championship mooting held under the auspices of tlio Wellington Miniature Ride Association will lie held at tho Buckle Street Drill Hull tins afternoon and evening. Eleven ■ clubs are allied to tbo association, and each one has ontered teams. The ontriqs excced 100. and it is not ejected that fiuaj results will be known uiitiJL*lnto to-night. There aro live events, including a champion leiims' match (teams of five), and a silver medal will he awarded to each member of the winning team. It is expected tiiiat _ tho Minister or Defence will attend "the opening of tho first meeting of its kind held in Wellington.'
