PETONE CRICKET CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Petone Cricket Club was held at the Petone Teohnical School on Wednesday evening. Mr. J. H. Lynskey presided. •Mention was made by the chairman of tho . loss/ the club had uustnin>xl through the deaths, during the epidemic, of tho late Dr. Ross (president) and Mr. A. Bennett (secretary), and a vote of sympathy was moved .accordingly. The motion was carried in silence, the members standing. In tho election of two officers to fill tho vacancies thus caused, Mr. H. Ryder was unanimously elected fiesidcnt, and Mr. J. Barker was elected secretory and treasurer, Mr. J. Panning proposed that the secretory l)o instructed to convey a message of sympathy to Captain W. Hardham, V.C., who is at present indisposed at Featherston Camp. The election of officers resulted as follows: Vice-presidents, Messrs. J. H. Lynskoy, H. K Nicholls, A. Coles, Taylor, L. C Wray, J. Rodger, H. Fleet, and Captain W. Hardham, Y.C.; committee, Messrs. H. E. Nicholls. S. Brice, A." Gate, T. Stevens, Martin; delegates to Wellington Management Committee, Messrs.
