CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON. What promises to be an attractive exhibition of tho Lfcaguo code of football will take place on Newtown Park on Saturday, when a senior and a. junior representative match will take place between teams representing Wellington and Canterbury. Tlio Canterbury team will arrive on Saturday morning. Tho visiting teams aro reported to bo vory lino combinations, and include many fast and promising players. W. Mitchell will captain tlio team, and is a well-known New Zealand player. J. Saunders also ably represented New Zealand recently agaiust tho visiting Australian team. This is tho first occasion of a visiting junior representative team inlaying in Wellington, and a good deal of interest centres in this game, which commences at 1.30 i>- w ' ■ The Wellington teams are in good trim, and preference has been given to playore who are in good form, and who are showing promise. Bradley will, of course, bo missed, as will W. Wilson, who is tjuifering from a bad <lcg. Tho Wellington forwards are a lino lot, being fast and good ladders—in fact, the ability of a player as a tackier was the first consideration with tho selectors. JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE' TEAM.
