1 . ■ ELDERLY WOMAN POISONS HERSELF. ■ Bi. Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 10. An elderly resident of Manurewa, Miss Mary Jefferson, died on Monday last m tho result of poison self-administered. Deceased was 78 years old. ■ At an inquest tho coronor returned a verdict that deceased's, will-power, owing to her advanced age, had been impaired to such an extent that temporary insanity ensued, under tho influenco of which she committed suicide by taking poison.
