Tho W.V.C.A., Ltd., Dannevirke, report on the -undermentioned sales as follow;— At Maharahara, on September 3, we held a fairly successful clearing sale of dairy stock on account Mr. i. W. Hart. Tho most of the dairy cows were in profit, and there was a ready sale for all best quality sorts, these- Eolling at from £20 to £26 55.; aged and backward calvers wcro not in demand, prices ranging for those being £7, £8, £8 10s., to .£9. The lino of 25 head averaged £16 per head, including tho four abovo quoted, which under the circumstances must be .con»idered satisfactory. ' *Xher sales wore springiug heifers, £11 to £13 55.; yeaning heifers, £4 10s.; two-year Uolstein cross bull, £16; aged spring-cart mare, £14 155.; harness do., £14 10b. A host of implements and sundries sold at good clearing salo rates. At Dannevirke, on September 5, wo offered a small- yarding of sheep and cattle, every lot being disposed of at auction. Sheep were.
