Two promising three-year-olds in'the Maiden Plate are Speeclimaker and Kilispur. both of whom will probably come in■ for; solid support to-day. Stetson and Silenus will have a duel in tho-Hunters'Steeplechase, for wliich Cor'nolian; Argo, and Colonel Paul will bo non-starters. Croesus. Affectation, Hetaua, Murihiku, and Dribble have been withdrawn from the Otango Handicap. This event Is verv open, but Lady General may be favourite, as she has galloped well since arrivine at Danneyirko Birkenvnlo nnd Gold Problem may both have a big following, as they raced well at Marlon in Koine wliich did not suit them. Warlike may be favourite in the concludihif event, for which there i 3 a very weak field.
