MOB DEMONSTRATIONS

Copenhagen, September 0. A cleavage in the ranks of the German Independent Socialist Party is threatened concerning .direct action, Violent protests wero made at the party's General Assembly in-Berlin against Herr Haase, who is an advocate of Parliamentary action. There was great applause for Herr Daumig, a direct actionist. The lenders withdrew a motion, fearing that the vote- would result in open conflict. Subsequently! troops with machine-guns dispersed the extremists. A demonstration occurred nt Spandau, where five were wounded- Grave unrest prevails elsewhere in Germany. Riots led to street fighting in Bremen. Attempts to shoot General A r orhech at Slargard resulted in thn arrest of the would-be assassin. The crowd attempted to storm the prison, but troops dispersed the mob, and several people were killed or wounded—Aus.-N.Z. Cable A6sn.
