At one time lie was largely interested in marble quarries, but of more recent years he had been carrying on the business of an estate lucnt. lie leaves a widow, who was formerly on the staff of the "New Zealand Times" and of the "New Zealand Herald." and two children, Miss Mona Maclojy, nt present on tho staff of the "Press," Christchurch, and Mr. Lan Mackav, formerly connected with various' newspapers and more recently attached to the Defence Department.
