Miss Edwards, assistant to the Karori borough clerk, has resigned her position' owing to ill-health. At tho closo of tho address given by Miss Coad last evening in connection with tho Women's National Council conference, a discussion took place regarding tho accommodation of women who' wcro sent to teach in country schools. Several somewhat appalling instances were related of what liad to be put up .with in this respect, and finally the meeting passed the following resolution: "That tho council bring before tho education conference . which takes placo shortly tho matter of accommodation for teachers in country districts."
