Tho fourth annual meeting of sharej fcolders •of tho Manakau Co-operative Dairy Company was'held, this Week. The [' annual, report of the directors. stated i that the credit to profit and loss account would' allow of a further payment of 2d. t -por lb., bringing the total payment up k-.to 15,.-11 l-3d. per lb. for butter-fat for |: cheese-making. This amount was a reI cord for the company, and.reflected great j- credit on tho manager (Mr. G. Meharry). I All tho cheese, with the exception of one i: consignment, had been ' awarded first j grade,- which was also a record for' the I, company. The cheese made amounted to 101 tons Vowt, 2qr. 91b., a slightly lower '. outpntH;han last year, due in great measure to the influenza epidemic, and : later in tho season to the dry spell cutting .down the supply of milk. Tho ... prospects for tho season now commencing were 'veiy good, and all that was requires was . the combined support of suppliers • to make tho next season another record. . Messrs. H. J. V. Nicholson, 11.I 1 . \V. Robinson, and Ralph Scholes wero re- : elected directors, and Mr. E. Evans, late of Te Horo, was elected director in place of Mr. Winter, who had resigned. Mr. C. E. Dempsey was appointed auditor. At a subsequent meeting of directors Nicholson was re-elected chairman | 'for the ensuing year.
