PRISONERS SENTENCED. By Teleeraoh.—Preu Anioclatlon. Christchurch, September 4. In tlio Supreme Court, Claude Thompson, aged sixteen, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment In Invercargill Reformatory for ar&m. and was ordered to come up for sentence for breaking, entering, and theft, and signing a moneyorder' without authority. Ruth Robertson, for abandoning her infant child, was admitted to probation for twelve months,. Mr. Justice Hcrdmnn stated he believed the prisoner's statement that the prime was. committed in a moment of desperation. Hamilton, September 4. At the Supremo Court, Barnard Gunderton pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering and theft, from the premises of his employer. He was sentenced to reformative treatment foi\ two years.- Rosina Rose, a middle-aged Tvomnn, ploadtd guilty to forging and uttering 6even oheques. She had made restitution of the money. She was sentenced to reformative treatment for two years.
