The Farmers' Co-operative Association's annual report shows that the transactions of the past year (to July 31) were satisfactory. The- sales amounted to £1,892,536. After making the usual provisions, also a special peace bonus of 4 por cent, on staff salaries- and wages, and £500 to inaugurate the staff superannuation fund, the net profit, v/as £32.978. The directors propose dividends of 6 per cent, on preference and 8 per cent, ou ordinary capital. The incoino tax is estimated to' be about £15,000. THE METAI/ SIAEKETS. ' London, September 1.
