ALLIES' COAL LEVY ON GERMANY
TREATY STIPULATIONS MODIFIED. (Rec. September 4, 0.20 a.m.) Paris, September 2. Tlio modifications of the Treaty's coal stipulations provide that Franco shall receive 10,(100,000 tons during the. next half-year, instead of 21,500,000. If Germany's production excccds the - present level of 108,000,000 tons, Franco will receivo between 50 and 00 per cent, of tlio additional output; if the production falls tlio whole position will bo re-examined.— Aus.-N.Z.
