At a sitting of the Petono Police Coiirl; yesterday. Wore Messrs. .A. Colea and E. Jones, .T.P.,' Cecilia Hunter was brought up on remand to nnswer a charge of forgery. Tho necused pleaded sruilty, but: pleaded in extenuation that she had hwl her sisterV; authority for commitKng th<! frrirery. Mrs. Ryan, however, denied this; Statement, and said sho had given no authority for -the- act. The accused wa« committed i'or trial, bail boms aUowecl in accused's own ™coq;nisance of .£SO, and liwo snsties of .£25 each.
For having trejreifwl on the railway line at Petono Station. Walter Hill wad fined 10s., with costs 7s.
