Though the Government's decision to ouriail -drastically the airship , programme is. deplored in somo quarters as savouring of panic, and lilcely to hamper progressive developments, a Liverpool syndicate proposes to inaugurate in May, 1920, world-wide services by rigid ,airships, carrying 150 passengers, and by lion-rigid airships for shorter voyages, carrying ,50 passengers. Liverpool -will be the principal baso for the services, which will include all. , the European capitals, Australia, North and South America. South Africa, and .Uu> Far East. The syndicate proposes to buy tho Government's uncompleted airships. ■ ' The London to Paris aeroplane- expresses continue to operate with great punctuality in variable weather.
