A land ballot for the M'Kenzie Estate i(Kairanga) and the Oturoa Settlement, near Toxton, was held in' Palmerston. North to-day. The morning wns taken up with the examination of one hundred applicants. Many original applicants withdrew their names, especially »in connection with the Kairnnea block.
