ANOTHER COAL CONFERENCE
/THE QUESTION OF WHO SHALL BE CHAIRMAN. In reply to the suggestion that the Government should appoint a chairman to the conference should the coal mine-own-ers agree to again meet tho representatives of tne coal miners' unions, the Prime Minister, has stated that he is prepared to appoint a chairman, and it is understood that he will propose ono of the Conciliation Commissioners for the office.
Mr. Massey does not say that thero will be a conference, and tho coal mineowners may refuse to meet the federation representatives again. It has always been their policy in the past to refuse conferences while the output has been limited, as it is reported to bo at present.
