FOUND DEAD. ' By Telegraph--l'rcsa Aaioclatlon. Dunedin, September 1. The body of William Gray, aged 20. was found near a tram shelter at Ocean Beach. Deceased's father was the late proprietor of • Fern Hill coal mine. Tho evidence at the inquest showed that deceased had been drinking heavily foi three months past. A SHOOTING FATALITY. By 'l'olecrnnll.—PfOSß Association. Whakatane, September 1. Nelson Semmens, aged about 30, 6 milker for E. Webster, Opouriao, was found on the farm with the upner part of his head blown off to-day. "Particulars disclose that deceased borrowed a gim from the homestead on the farm yesterday, saying he wonted it to shoot a hawk. On the man being,missed, the police were notified this morning, and Constable Greenslade searched the farm and found the man's dead body on ft cattle track leading to a lagoon. The shotgun was pointing tn the head. The body was conveyed to Whakatane.
