C. A. Wilkinson. the member for Pigment. The admirably lucid and comprehensive report presented by the Industries Committee in itself affords convincing evidence that its chairman brought exceptional qualities. to hear upon his . responsible duties. It is much to be regretted that Mu, Wilkinson has decided to withdraw from politics for a time when the present Parliament expires. It is precisely men of his stamp that the country needs in Parliament, and it never needed them more than at the present stage when its future prosperity so obviously depends upon great and urgent problems of development and 'organisation being dealt with resolutely and in a spirit of practical, endeavour.
