PREVENTION OF DUMPING
PROHIBITION OF GERMAN TOYS URGED. (Rec. September 1, 0.30 a.m.) London, August 30. In view of the impending abolition of restrictions on imports, unless affecting the key industries, a number of British traders are urging Sir Auckland Geddes to prevent tho dumping of non-essential articles. British toy-makers declare that the Germans are ready to swamp the market, and urge that there should be a minimum of three years' prohibition of Gorman toys to enable British firms to instal modern machinery—Aus.-N.Z.
