PROGKESS OP NEW BUILDINGS. By Telegraph—Special Correspondent. Palmerston North, August 29. Tho now buildings now being erected as additions to the Palme-rston Hospital are wett advanced, When completed, they will make tho institution thoroughly up-to-date, and will provide additional accommodation for a 'large number of patients. There is still, however, a considerable amount of work to bo done, <jnd it will probably ho 'early in tho New Sear, before advantage can be taken of tho accommodation in tho new building, which is badly needed. The now structure is of «red brick, will asbesfos tiles. The outside portions of tho building are complete, and the roof is-on with the exception of one of the wards. Tho total cost of the present programme is about ,£50,000. Tho extensions are being so designed that additional wawls can bo erected <is required by making an extension of tho corridor and building tho wards parallel with tho new wards now being constructed.
