PETONE POLICE COURT
At the Petone Police Court yesterday, before Mr. J. Piper, J.P., Cecilia Hunter was charged with having forged a request for payment of money The facts, as outlined by the police, were 'that tho, accused'had forged the name of Nellie Ryan to a N.Z.8.l . allotment warrant for the sum of £4 13s. The accused was also charged with having uttered the same to L. W. J. Leadbetter., .. On the application of the police., a remand till September 2 was granted. Bail was fixed at in accused's own lecosnisance mid one surety of i£so.
