WELLINGTON ROWING CLUB
Last night-a spccial general meeting of tliu AVellington Rowing Club was hold in tho boathouse, Mr. W. G. Gaudin presiding. There was a good attendance.^ It "was decided to approach tho City Council for tho granting of a site at Evans Bay for 1 tho establishment of a branch of the club there. A meeting of residents of Kilbirnie and surround--ing districts will bo called at a future date to discuss this .matter. Tho. sum of £1 wns donated by several members present, for tho purchase of a new set of oars for the racing fouis. It was resolved to hold a smoke concert and reunion to welcome members back from active service at an early date. . It wasidecided to hold a working bee everv Wednesday evening to prepare tlie plant for the forthcoming season.
