Miscellaneous. -* It was resolved to cancel as from August 31, 1919, the temporary grazing permit held by Mr. G. Hoggard, in so far as it relates to Sections 45, 47, 48, and 49, ; Block VIII, Belmont, S.D., Normandalo. Settlement, 139 acres 3 roods 29 perchcs, and to reduce proportionately the rent payable under the permit, viz., from £2 Is. Bd. to £l 7s. per month. Mr. A. Moghan applied for a temporary grazing permit over about 4 acres of scenic reserve Section 62, Block, 'XIV, Ohiijewairua S.D.—lt was resolved to grant.tho permit subject to the usual conditions, at a rental of £5 per annum. Sheep only, to ba grazed; no compensation for improvements to be allowed ; lease, to be terminable at any time. Mr. A. L. Evans"'wrote, stating ..that he did not see his way clear to peta;m Section 131, Waingawa Block.—lt was resolved to accept a surrender of tho section. '
The Tiratu Sawmilling Company applied to transfer temporary permits 711 and 534 to Mr. A. P. Smith, who has purchased their sawmill license.—lt was resolvod to approve the application. It was resolved that the undisposed-of sections in the Hawtroy and Wilfonl Settlements be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at prices already fixed.
