It is 'customary to speak of meat in freight carcasses in this country, and there are thirty-seven and one-third freight oarcasses. in a ton, 60 that 60,000_t0D3 of meat is equal to about two millions and B quarter freight carcasses. We have about three times this quantity of meat in cold stores in New Zealand to-day.
