Cnahniho was mado on Saturday by tiio inspecting engineer to thß>Mines department Mr. Reed states that: lie is of opinion there is practically no danger connected with No. r> section, above which surface cracks have appeared. There is movement in progress in I his .section, lie Bays, but as there, is some nine drains of solid coal between it and tho Wnikafn River, no danger need be apprehended. In regard to No. I! rise, which, is under the river, there is no immediate danger, A [though (lunger eventually may arise there, it will be slow in coming.
