VICTORY FOR THE VISITORS A friendly gamo of lioclcoy was played on fcho Basin li'esorve yesterday afternoon between a team from 11.M.5. New Zealand inul a representative Wellington team.

The ship's team comprised: Forwards, Lieutenants Russell, M'Mastcr.and Chevallicr, Captain Brooke-Short. Sub-Lieu-tenant Cmldick (marines); halves, -Midshipman Eykyn, Lieutenants Cunliffo (captain of "f;lie team) and Oornmillis; backs, Midshipman Hoggard, Licut.-Coni-nwndcr Spooncr; goalkeeper, Midshipman Cnssells.

The New Zealand captain (Cunliffe) relieved from a dangerous position, and a drive to centre was intereented. Eventually New Zealand, by clever concerted play, drove tho AVellingtons into defence, and Chevallior scored again. Now Zealand, 7; Wellington, 3. The visitors went very near to scoring again, but AVellington's goalkeeper saved tiie,situation, and play was shifted to the visitors' end of the field. Now Zealand once more attacked, and Chevnllier registered his fifth goal. New Zealand, 8; AVellington, 3. From bully-off the visiters again attacked, but there was no further score. Messrs. Edwards and Needham were the referees. The playing of the visitors was brilliant, and their tnmbination excellent. Enthusiasts declare that yesterday's game was the linest: ever seen in AVellington lo date. .A team from H.M.S.
