MISSING MAN'S BODY FOUND. By Teleerajh—Press Association. Gisborne, August 25. The body of Linton Runciman, D.C.M., a returned, soldier, who has been missing for several days, was found in the Mnta River, Waipiro Bay. Evidence given at the inquest was to tho effect that deceased and a companion attempted, to ford the river while in Hood. Deceased's companion went first and got ashore safely, but saw no sign of fvunciman A verdict was roturned of accidentally drowned.

The poliee'liavb received advice that William Walter Hey, aged -to years, residing in Dunodin, died on Sunday night as the result of a motor-car accident at Kartigi, tho car going over an embankment and turning a. somersault The deceased, who was a draper's assistant, wa.fi a married man with four children. At the time of tho accident the deceased, his wise, and son were on their way to attend a funeral at Oamaru. The inquest wag adjourned to enable evideuce lo 1» given by the driver of tho car, and a passenger who left the cor at Waikouaiti, and to enable the car to he examined by an export. DEATH OF A RETURNED SOLDIER. By Toleer&oh.-Pms Auoclatlon. Auckland, August 33. A man, aged 26, was found unconscious in the scrub south of Jlundy, with a blood-stained razor alongside him. The arteries of his left arm had been opened. After first aid had been applied, a docfor arrived, but found life was extinct. Papers on the body bore the name "Brian T. Price," and a military discharge indicated that he belonged to Fcilding. 110 was discharged from the Hamilton Ho*pital on Friday last.
