I'he hearing of a case of alleged theft of union moneys against James C. Murphy, alias Sullivan, the local representative of the Seamen's Union, was commenced aud adjourned till to-morrow.
Wairemu Ilonotapu, on flvo charges of forgery and uttering, was sentenced to nino mouths' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences lo bo concurrent. ICarafca iverei, on similar charges, was convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called npon. 'William Kerr Crombic, solicitor's clerk, was ordered to como up for sentence for thefts amounting to .£159 is. Katherine Yates Jfoblott, on a. charge of making a false declaration with regard to the birth of a child, was ordered to be detained till {lib rising of the Court. Vincent Edward Craig and Arthur William Witt, for theft of a motor-oar, were sentenced to two yearn' and one year's reformative treatment respectively.
