A commission of tho French Government has selected for preservation all the dug-outs and war landscape of— The Butte de' Warlencourt. The ruins of Bnpaumo. Some ol the destroyel monuments of I'eronne. The Chateau of Thiepval and similar devastation points. Tho underground maze of Combles. The "tanks' churchyard" at Pozieres. The "King's observation point" on Hill 80, near Givenchy. The Givenchy battlefield, and The famous slag-heap and "Tower Bridge" nt Loos. It is understood, says Reuter, that as soon as restrictions on travel afe removed the general public may visit these places.
