A wei't-knowu personage in Devonshire (says the London "Daily Chronicle" of May 27) received a cable message from Ills soldier son in Mesopotamia, whicti contained only three words, "Two John twelve." At first the receiver was baffled by the mysterious messago, but after much puzzlling the meaning dawned upon hiini. Taking down his Bible, ho turned up tho Second Epistle of St. John and read tho twelfth, verse, which runs as follows;—" Having milny things to write unto you I would nol; write with paper and ink. but I trust to come unto you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full." His son was on his way home!
