Mrs. B. J. Child was hostess at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday, when an attractive, concert was givsn uy tho following:—Mesdames Chapman unit P. J. Child, Missus K. Lucas, A. v. Bruce, Uileen Lambert, ,T Lewis, and Messrs. Mason, J3. J. ChiUl, G. Belize. Mrs. Chapman and Mr. 11. Knowles were at the piano. A. halt was made ,m the l)ro")'ammo for refreshments, provided by the "hostess. The institute was decorated for the occasion. Mr. Moore, niissioner, vas in the chair, and l«d tho competitions.
