MEDICAL HEADQUARTERS
IMPI'OVKD ACCOMMODATION A I'PII.KCI ATM). The medical headquarters for the ellington military district is established now in quarters in lirandou Street, formerly occupied by tho pay branch. The change is much appreciated by returned men who require to attend for exanK.Titum and treatment, including massage, .formerly the medical officers ami their, assistants occupied rooms at the Buckle Street Drill llall. Tho patients had to wait in the hall, where a few forms were provided for their accommodation. The place was draughty and . dreary, while the .rooms in which the medical officers worked were cramped. A further disability was tho distance of tho barracks from any of the tram-lines, a serious matter to partially incapacitated men.
Tho new quarters are very much more comfortable nnd convenient. The medical staff has more space at its disposal, and the/men are provided with n comfortable waiting room, with chairs and papers. There is.a Y.M.C.A. canteen, where hot drinks and biscuits are dispensed without charge. The _ massage work, which has become an important branch of the treatment, is carried, on under much more favourable conditions than were possible in the old quarters.
