RUMANIAN CROWN PRINCE
RENOUNCES THRONE'. . Paris, August 12. The Crown I'rinco of Rumania has written to his father formally renouncing his rights to the throne.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu.
[Last year the Crown Prince of Rumania created a sensation by marrying without the King's consent, a lady, Zizi Lambrinu, a member of one of the oldest families of Moldavia. At tho time the Bucharest correspondent of tho "Norddeutoche Allgemeine Zeitung" reported that inequality of marriage is not stated in tho Rumanian Constitution to be an impediment to succession' to the throne, but thoro is, nevertheless, a law of tho Royal House, according to which no marriage of a member of tho Royal Family is valid without tho King's assent having been given. "Tho succession to tho thi one," added tho correspondent, "will now probably pass to Prince Nicholas, who is 15 years of age."]
