Tho Japanese Embassy has issued a statement by !ho Premier, Mr. Kei Hara, announcing the abolition of tlio military administration in Korea, and the establishment of civil rule. Air. Hara said tint the aim of the Japanese Government was to treat Korea as an integral part of (lie Empire, grauting the Koreans the same political and social rights as the' Japanese. Tho statement adds that Japanese officers responsible for the recent troubles in Korea will be court-martial-lcd.
Baron Saito has been appointed Gov-ernor-General. and Jlr. Midzuno DirectorGenend of tho new Korean Administration. which will speedily introduce the same system of provincial and municipal government as exists in Japan.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
