THE OTAGO FLOOD
By Teletrranh—Pre.'? AMocls'.lon. Duncdin, August 21. Matters at tho Taicri looked better today. The river fell slowly but steadily, and. at East Taieri the water has disappeared f.vom a great, deal of the land. The breale near Otokia can-red an increase in the water in South Taieri, but in view of the falling river and the projected repair works to-morrow the position should be speedily relieved. Tho Outram railway line will_ be clear for traffic, to-morrow, but it is doubtful if the Olngo central line will be clear before Monday.
