SLIGHT DECLINE IN CEOSSBREDS. • Mr. Masaoj lias received the following 'cablegram from the Director of Raff Materials, London:—"Fiftli series of e&lcs commenced August 11. _ On this occasion we ara allowing United States of America and neutral countries to operate among all grades to* limited extent. ' Prices for merinos do not show 'much ohange from July rates, but best greasy combings are 7J pw cent, dearer, owing fo American competition. PosiItiori of fine crossbreda is unchanged, but ■medium sorts ara 21 per cent, and ooarse 5 per cont. lower. Prices for fine crossbred slipess are steady, but those for : medium and coarso qualities are 6 pc j r cent, lower. As at present arranged - 6eries lasts until August 23." ,
