At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union to-night, a letter was read from the New Zealand Union stating that until the next meeting of .delegates none of tho amended rules was to be'played. Tho lotter was received, And in ordor to 6ave tho New Zealand Union any embarrassment it was decided,not to use tho two slightly alterod rules adopted by the Canterbury Union for the final' competition matches next Saturday.
