A mass. meeting of seamen is in progress on the question of aocepting or rejecting Senator Milieu's terms.—Press Assn. Melbourne, August 19. A mass meeting of seamen debated tho Government's terms 'of settlement, and decidcd that iihe proposed conference must meet and its decision forwarded to all branches beforo the ships would 'be manned. It was further decided that Walsh shoufid represent the seamen at the conference.—Press A Esn, NO WORK TILL DEMANDS SETTLED. (Rec, August 19, 11.20 p.m.) Sydney. August 19. The seamen's meeting definitely decided not to return to work until the demands had been settled at the round-tabie conference.—Press Assn. BRISBANE SEAMEN AGREE TO * PROPOSALS. Brisbane; August 18. The seamen .have accepted the Government propceah. They "insist upon the granting of four cardinal points, and upon the decision of tho round-the-tablo conference being final.—Press Assn.
