MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. The Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met last nishti wheu there were present: Messrs. W. Homig (in the ehairV E. Perry, A. Griffiths, J. Luihloi), H. Buck, J, Millard, W. Cook, J/Prendeville, E. H. Ward, and T H. Jones (111011. secretary). The Manawatu Union wrote stating that it would be. impossible to 6end a team to Wellington on August 30 owing to the train restrictions. It was decided to send a team to Palmerston on September 6, providing Manawatu play a return match at AVcllington oh September 13. ' The Ganteilrary Union is to be asked to change the dates of the representative matches. Tht* dates asked for are: Canterbury to play at Wellington on August 3ft, and ■ Wellington to p'.ay at Chrigtchurch on September 13. The Marlborough Union wrote asking for a representative •team from Wellington to play tho Marlborough fifteen at Blenheim. It was decided to send a team to Marlborough on August 30. Mascot and Petone fourth-class teams nre to meet at Petone on Saturday, and tho winner will play Oriental in town tho following Saturday. The are to be asked to nominations to the North Island selectors of Wellington players for the North Is'and team.
The Marist Brothers Old Boys team were grunted permission to play the Wanganui Mnrist Brothers team at Athletic Park on September (!, as a curtain-raiser to the WeUington-Tannuiki representative match.
A letter was received from the Town Cleric statin)? that the question of pro-.i viding dressing sheds at Kilbirnio had received consideration, and that the work is to be none on ivitili as soon as possible. The Wellington College A team were awarded the'sixth grade championship.' The question of providing a match against a teara from H.MfS. New ( Zealand was left in the hands of the chnirman and secretary.
