' At the Supremo Court to-day, beforo Mr. Justice Hosking, Percy Lowis Ward, who pleaded guilty to several charges of theft., was admitted to. probation lor two...rears.. John Adding, was acquitted on charges of attempted rape. Frederick Thomas Ellis was found not guilty of one charge of obtaining credit by false pretences, and was remanded until tomorrow for sentence on similar charges, to .which he pleaded guilty. Hui Kai Thompson appeared for a breach of the probation order made .on May 12 last, since when ho had been convicted una Sentenced to seven days' imprisonment for theft. The Judge cancelled the previous order.- and released tho accused again, for a term of three years, with additional conditions that his place of residence and his employment'must be approved by. the officer. In 'divorce, Alice Maud Henderson, New Plymouth, was granted a rule nisi against William Henderson, labourer, Kaliarihe, ■on grounds of desertion and adultery. ...
