AMUSEMENTS, .WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL'. ■ .VISIT OF ADMIRAL LORD JELLICOE. 4 / i H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND. The Official Programme will include the following!— As soon as possible after arrival iji Port, a CIVIC RECEPTION will be tendered to the Admiral in the Town Hall. The City Counci will also entertain the Admiral and Staff at luncheon. A Citizens' Ball (in the Town HaK) will be tendered to the Admiral and Officers on tihe 28th instant. The men of H.M.S. New Zealand will be entertained in the Town Hall at luncheon 011 two days (nne-half of the full complement on each day). The Town Hall will be open to the moil each day during the ship's stay in port (except on the 26th instant, tho date of the Ball) as a Club Room, where games, music, dances, and light refreshments may be indulged in. Outdoor Sports for the men have also been arranged. The Council's Observation Cars will be available to convey a number of the men each morning in and around the ci^y. The Navy League is co-operating with tho Citizens in the Entertainments. Citizons and Shipping Authorities are invited to display as much bunting as possible during the v'sit, and to give the Admiral, his officers, and men a hearty welcome to this Port and City. JOHN P. THE Commanding Officer desires on behalf of the Regimental Officers, who were absent on. duty elsewhere, to record the 'high appreciation in which the Service rendered by nil Officers, Non-com-missioned Officers, and Men who during the war did duty with the Regiment is held. The Commanding Officer is especially indebted to Major Simm, who temporarily commanded the Regiment from 18/2/16 to 26/3/19. Major Simm's personal influence and self-sacrificing efforts have been • of the Ihighost possible value, and it is largely due to him that the future prospects ol the Regiment are so bright.
