Sir,— Recently there lias been a wan prowling about the lower Mia or the Terrace and. Hill Street amusing himselt by chasing girls and scaring them generally. Impostors of this .kind frequent lonelily spots where there is 110 police patrol. Girls are often compelled to walk home at night unescorted, and .if they arc accosted would bo quite within their rights to take drastic measures to defend themselves, and I would ast'ivhy these lonely places nro not under stricter police oljscrvancc ?—I am, etc., > • OVERTIME.
